The United Kingdom Mission Tour Choir has set out on a great adventure. Friday, May 26, the choir met at Jacksonville International Airport. We had an uneventful flight on a 737 to Newark. After a 5-hour layover, we departed right on time for Glasgow, on a full 757. Many of us were able to talk to other travelers and tell them about our choir tour.
We arrived in Glasgow at 7:30am, with many of us not sleeping a whole lot, but having great excitement over all that lies ahead. We arrived to slightly cloudy conditions that soon cleared to a glorious, sunny, if a bit cool and windy day.
Our tour guide, Adrian Gladwin, met us and helped us get our luggage onto the motorcoach.
We toured St. Giles’s Cathedral and Edinburgh Castle. Some shopped along the Royal Mile.
We checked into the King Malcolm Hotel in Dunfermline and began to get settled. Many of us rested and then went back into Edinburgh on the coach for more sightseeing and good eating.
We’ve all had a full, joyful day. Tonight we’re counting on sleeping well so that we will be ready to sing two concerts tomorrow.
